The event is part of the activities and projects that respond to the spirit and goals promoted by the National Plan Italy 2011 of the National Coordinating Body - DG Volunteering, Associations and Social Bodies - Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, coherent with the European directives.

The Italian Region Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Volunteer Support Centre of Friuli Venezia Giulia and CSVnet (Italian Network of Volunteer Support Centres), have the pleasure to invite you to International Conference "Italy ? Central and South Eastern Europe Volunteering and institutions in comparison", organized in the framework of the European Year of Volunteering 2011. It will be held in Gorizia, 7-9 October 2011, and it aims at bringing together Central and South Eastern Europe public authorities and voluntary organizations.

At this conference public authorities and voluntary organizations will meet together with the aim to foster mutual knowledge and raise the awareness of needs, resources and possibilities present in both parties, institutions and volunteering. Participants will have the opportunities not only to listen to valuable institutional perspectives, but also to interact with institutional representatives and other organizations coming from Italy, Central and South Eastern Europe.

The 2011 edition is substantially supported by the Friuli Venezia Giulia, and will aim at fostering the dialogue between institutions of the Western Balkans and other EU countries who are at the borders with this area, and with organizations that support the development of volunteering, such as volunteer support centres and volunteer development agencies, and with volunteer involving organizations themselves. This comparison is aimed to increase mutual knowledge and raise the awareness of needs, resources and possibilities present in both parties, institutions and volunteering.

There is no participation fee, but the registration is compulsory.

Priority will be given to the following countries: Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Moldova, Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria and Hungary.
