it was great to meet youonce again in Tallinn. As we unfortunately wasn't  =
able to talk with all of you, we would like to invite you to become a Parte=
r in our european competition 'Discover e-volunteering'.

What is e volunteering?
E volunteering is volunteering via the Internet. It refers to the tasks car=
ried out by volunteers (it means it is voluntary and unpaid) completely or =
partly via the Internet. These e volunteering activities as well as other f=
orms of volunteering are of benefit to other people and the whole society.
The on line volunteering (e volunteering) involves many different activitie=
s: giving free on line advice, forming aid and self-help groups, cooperatin=
g on promotion, finding information or helping others to learn foreign lang=
uages via the Internet.
What is the competition about?
The aim of the =E2=80=9CDiscover e volunteering=E2=80=9D Competition is to =
present different e volunteer projects carried out by the non governmental =
organizations. We will reward the best initiatives in the competition and c=
reate the base of good practices, which will allow more and more NGOs to be=
nefit from the possibilities of combining both the potential of Internet an=
d volunteering! We also want to show the Europeans that they can participat=
e in worthy social activities during their lunch break or without leaving h=
ome.
Who can participate in it?
Every non governmental organization, which cooperates with e volunteers.
How to enter the competition?
It is necessary to fill in the application form available on the website ww=
w.e volunteering.eu until 31th July, 2011. It is really worth doing it! Att=
ractive monetary awards are waiting!
The international Competition Jury will choose about 9 to 12 most interesti=
ng projects from all applications entered in the Competition, which will la=
ter be put to an open on-line vote taking place between 12th  September and=
 12h October 2011. The projects selected by the Jury will be promoted by th=
e organizers and the European partners during the vote and as a part of the=
 e volunteering promotion.
The results of the competition will be announced during the Final Gala in N=
ovember 2011 in Warsaw.

We would be very happy if you are interested in joining us and becoming Par=
tner of the Competition.

The rules of the partnership are as follow:

THE RULES OF PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS COOPERATION ON ORGANIZING THE EUROPEAN E=
DITION OF THE =E2=80=9CDISCOVER E-VOLUNTEERING=E2=80=9D COMPETITION

I.=09Definitions

1.=09 =E2=80=9CDiscover e volunteering=E2=80=9D Competition is organized by=
 Good Network Foundation and Orange Foundation, who is the co organizer of =
e volunteering.eu portal.
 1.  =E2=80=9CDiscover e volunteering=E2=80=9D Competition is pursued under=
 the project =E2=80=9CValues and activities of volunteering and e-volunteer=
ing=E2=80=9D co financed by the European Union. The European Union is not r=
esponsible for any content generated by the project.=20
2. Partner organizations, hereinafter referred to as the Partners of the Co=
mpetition, are the organizations functioning within the territory of the Eu=
ropean Union, which shall send to the Organizers of the Competition the let=
ter of intent declaring their will to cooperate on organizing the Competiti=
on and accepting The rules of partner organizations cooperation on organizi=
ng the european edition of the =E2=80=9Cdiscover e-volunteering=E2=80=9D co=
mpetition till 6th June 2011, and whose participation is confirmed by the O=
rganizers.
3.  Cooperation rules and Partners of the Competition=E2=80=99s role is det=
ermined by the document The rules of partner organizations cooperation on o=
rganizing the European edition of =E2=80=9CDiscover E volunteering=E2=80=9D=
 Competition, approved by the Good Network Foundation and Orange Foundation=
.
II.=09The Organizers
1.  The Organizers are responsible for:
a.=09coordination of the Competition,
b.=09preparation of electronic promotional materials (leaflets, posters, we=
bsite banners, etc.) in English and providing the Partners with the materia=
ls mentioned hereinabove,
c.=09insertion of  the Partners=E2=80=99 logotype on the Competition websit=
e,
d.=09dissemination of information about the Partners of the Competition.

III.=09The Responsibilities of the Partners of the Competition

1.=09The responsibilities of the Partners of the Competition will be connec=
ted with promotional actions and the organization of the Competition.
2.=09The promotional actions of the Partners of the Competition (not only a=
t the European level, but also local and regional) shall involve:
a.=09the active promotion of the call for applicants for =E2=80=98Discover=
=20
e-volunteering=E2=80=99 competition
b.=09the insertion of information and promotional materials about the Compe=
tition on the Partners=E2=80=99 websites at each stage of the Competition,
c.=09the distribution of promotional materials to media, partners, organiza=
tions, etc. at each stage of the Competition. Promotional materials in Engl=
ish shall be provided by the Organizers,
d.=09the dissemination of information about the next stages of the Competit=
ion,
e.=09the publication of information about the results of the Competition,
f.=09the dissemination of information about the finalists of the Competitio=
n,
g.=09the dissemination of information about  the Organizers.

3.=09The responsibilities of the Partners connected with the organization o=
f the Competition shall  involve:
a.=09the support for organizations applying for the Competition from the Pa=
rtner=E2=80=99s country/region in translation of the application into Engli=
sh,
b.=09the support for the Organizers of the Competition in the formal assess=
ment of the Competition applications from the Partner=E2=80=99s country/reg=
ion (optional, at the request of the Organizer),
c.=09the proposition of the candidates for the members of the international=
 Competition Jury (optional),
d.=09the supply of the Awards for the Laureates of the Competition (optiona=
l),
e.=09participation in the Final Gala  of the Competition in Warsaw in Novem=
ber 2011 (optional).
