Based on the results of this consultation and on the results of further research the European Commission will work towards a legislative proposal on EVHAC to be adopted in 2012. The Consultation is accessible at: http://ec.europa.eu/yourvoice/ipm/forms/dispatch?form=EVHAC&lang=en. The European Commission will also launch (expected beginning of March 2011) a call for proposals for concrete pilot projects developing some aspects of EVHAC including selection, training, and deployment of EU volunteers. The results and lessons learnt of the chosen pilot projects will serve to feed in the preparation of the legislative proposal setting up EVHAC. The Call will be open to EU non-profit organisations and international organisations and the overall amount to be granted will be 850 000 EUR. Let us know if you are interested in the consultation and in receiving further information on the planned call for proposals by contacting Aurelie at aurelie.storme@cev.be or by subscribing to the categories of development / humanitarian aid and civil protection / disaster relief on the CEV Online Community and we will provide you with further information on this topic as soon as the call is launched. -- Sent via the CEV Online Community http://community.cev.be Save
