Hold the needle so that the working yarn hangs from the left end of the needle. ë Without turning, slide the stitches to the right end of the needle and put it in your left hand. í Pull the working yarn across the back, knit across. The stitches will seem loose, but persevere to the end. ñ As you approach the end of this needle, hold onto the tail to keep it from unwrapping. If it gets away from you, just rewrap the yarn. ï ë í Wrap the yarn around both points, making half as many wraps as the total stitches to be cast on. For example, if you need a total of 20 stitches (10 on one side of the cast on and 10 on the other), make 10 wraps.
